Sarah Coleman
INTERN
Sarah is a graduate student intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands with a background that includes hospice volunteering, death doula training, yoga instruction, and care work with individuals with Down syndrome and autism, she brings a deep appreciation for the mind–body connection and the wisdom carried through our lineages.
She works with individuals, teens, adults, and couples, supporting clients navigating grief and loss, life transitions, identity shifts, relationship challenges, and neurodiversity. Her approach is trauma-informed, mindfulness-based, and somatic, integrating Person-Centered Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and ancestral perspectives to foster healing and growth across generations.
As an immigrant from Scotland of 10 years, Sarah’s journey has shaped her understanding of community, belonging, and identity—experiences she carries into her work with clients. Known for her warmth, compassion, and collaborative spirit, she creates a safe, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Outside of her counseling work, she enjoys cultivating connection through tea, yoga, and time in nature.
